Amr Singh’s deal to bail out UPA from nuclear deal

What should be the price of a deal? It is indeed quite difficult to articulate or even speculate at every juncture since the perspective may be different, but everything has its own price. The materialistic world revolves around the inscrutable concept of profit and loss, which entices each and every individual to abide by the same track.

But there are some who are adept to extract the same knavishly and surely of these Amar Singh, the doyen of Samajwadi Party (SP) remains at the top. The way he tried to obtain the best prices from the endangered UPA government is sure to receive salutation! The three letters that he has handled to the Prime Minister consist of three economic demands the prime of which is the annulment of the export-oriented unit (EOU) status of petroleum refineries in the country. Well, this has a direct relation to him or his beloved acquaintance Anil Ambani since his company is locked in a straightforward telecom share dispute with Reliance Industries, owned by Mukesh Ambani, who currently spearheads the EOU status that warrants the company to duty-free import of crude.

This, along with the other two, like charging private telecom operators more for the band of radio waves granted by the government and also bringing the exchange rate to Rs 39 a dollar has been termed by the SP boss as necessary to exempt the frustrated middle class from the incumbrance of inflation.

But this is not all! Singh has also urged PM to utilize foreign exchange reserves to shore up the rupee and subdue mounting inflation.

May be this is a too niggling price that UPA has to pay for survival!
